Nobody knows the future. Therefore, it is important for everyone to put their affairs in good order, including executing up-to-date estate planning documents.

Your Last Will and Testament should designate what you wish to happen with your property after you are gone and who you want to be in charge. If you don’t have a Will, or if it isn’t properly drafted, then your property may be distributed differently than you would intend. In addition to avoiding taxes, well-designed estate planning documents can help you reduce or escape probate altogether. The documents also provide for appropriate handling of your affairs in the event you are unable to do so.

At Revis, Hervas & Goldberg P.A., we know federal tax law and Florida law regarding descent and distribution. Attorney Adam Scott Goldberg holds a Masters of Law degree (LL.M.) in Estate Planning from the University of Miami, has been teaching estate planning courses at NSU Law School since 1997, and has given numerous presentations in the area. He has written various estate planning articles. Attorneys Christopher Hervas and Jacqueline Revis have each been preparing estate planning documents for over a decade.
